21 ways to manage your time and be more productive

  1. Make a decision , either do something or STOP doing something. Decisiveness should be practiced until it comes naturally.
  2. Develop a clear vision of what it is you are trying to accomplish. decide what you want and determine the price you should pay to get it and resolve to pay that price.
  3. plan every day in advance. six P formula - Prior proper planning prevents poor performance. make weekly monthly and hourly list. specify the time line, make a daily list of your activities befre you sleep the previous night  WORK FROM WRITTEN LIST
  4. use the ABCDE method to set priorities.
  5. Separate the urgent from the important - U&I, U&NI, I&NU, NU&NI
  6. used the law of forced efficiency - there is never enough time to do everything, but there is always time to do the most important thing. -> What is the highest value use of my time? -> What is it that you do that yields the highest rewards to me or my company? -> Why am I on the payroll? -> What are the few elements that determine the most success to my job -> What can i and only i do that if done well can make a real difference -> What is the most valuable use of my time right now?
  7. Apply the 80/20 rule : 80% of the things you do will account for 20% of your value. practice creative procrastination.
  8. work at your energy peaks. identify your peak times and work you reports at them

  20. Plan every project carefully. A job that requires several steps, view yourself as a project manager through out your life. the most important key in success is clarity, then organize it by priority and sequence.
